  • Supervise the layout (artwork, design, photography) and verify the integrity and correctness of the content.

  • Proofread, edit, and enhance stories and works.

  • Recruit and manage authors and journalists.

  • Cooperate and communicate with designers, photographers, advertising representatives, writers, artists, etc.

  • Observe media law and ethical standards.

  • Meet deadlines and financial constraints.

Requirements and Skills

  • Proven record of success as an Editor or content editor.

  • Possessing superior writing/editing/proofreading abilities and an impressive portfolio

  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office and InDesign, Photoshop, or other publishing software

  • Proven knowledge of SEO and social media marketing best practices

  • Excellent written English abilities

  • A keen sense of observation along with analytical ability

  • Prioritization and task juggling

  • Bachelor of Science in Journalism or a related field

Salary Range

The average monthly salary for Editor jobs in Malaysia ranges from RM 3,000 to RM 4,000.
