A reporter also known as a journalist is a person that gathers and investigates information to create news stories. Their main responsibility is to collect accurate data and information on events, current issues and people. They will then present this information clearly and concisely by producing a story for the public to read. They would also conduct interviews and investigations to further reach the truth.

We are looking for a passionate reporter with an interest in investigating and writing rich and unbiased stories for the readers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collect, verify and analyse information.

  • Assemble a proper flow for the story.

  • Write and deliver news stories for the readers.

  • Publish and broadcast news stories.

  • Receive assignments and investigate leads.

  • Abide by journalism ethics and codes of conduct.

  • Keep notes and audio recordings.

  • Never plagiarise or fabricate.

  • Contact, interview and research sources.

  • Cooperate with other reporters, editors and producers.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
  • Proven working experience as a reporter.

  • Portfolio of published stories.

  • Able to gather information and write accurately.

  • Broad vocabulary.

  • Excellent communication and active listening skills.

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in journalism or mass communications.
