What does a Digital Marketing Manager do?

You must have a solid understanding of modern marketing tools and strategies and be able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from conception to execution. Digital marketing managers will collaborate with the marketing team, supporting teams (such as programmers), and vendors to ensure to launch campaign on time and within budget.


  • Plan and execute all digital marketing, including campaigns for SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, and display advertising.

  • Create, develop, and manage our social media presence.

  • Evaluate all digital marketing campaigns’ ROI and key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on their performance.

  • Determine trends and insights, and optimize expenditures and performance based on the trends and insights.

  • Consider innovative and original development strategies.

  • Plan, conduct, and quantify experiments and conversion tests.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to design landing pages and enhance the user experience.

  • Strong analytic skills are required to evaluate the end-to-end consumer experience across multiple channels and customer touchpoints.

  • Utilize conversion factors and optimize user funnels.

  • Work in conjunction with agencies and other vendor partners.

  • Evaluate innovative technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective where applicable for adoption.

Requirements and Skills

  • BS/MS in marketing or a related discipline is required.

  • Proven employment history in digital marketing

  • Experience administering and leading SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, and/or display advertising campaigns.

  • Capable of identifying target audiences and developing digital campaigns that engage, educate, and inspire.

  • Expertise in landing page and user funnel optimization

  • A familiarity with A/B and multivariate tests

  • Strong understanding of website analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, and WebTrends).

  • Has knowledge of ad serving tools (e.g., DART, Atlas).

  • Knowledge of establishing and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development constraints and best practices

  • Strong analytic abilities and a data-driven mindset

  • Aware of the most recent developments and best practices in online marketing and measurement

Salary Range
