We are seeking a Credit Manager to supervise our company’s lending process, which includes assessing the creditworthiness of clients and approving or rejecting loan requests.

Credit Manager responsibilities include the development of credit assessment models, the establishment of loan terms, and the determination of interest rates. 

To succeed in this position, you must have a degree in Accounting or Finance and experience in loan application processing. Prior banking experience is preferred.

You will ultimately help us reduce problematic debts and increase loan revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Research and evaluate the creditworthiness of customers

  • Create risk prediction models using credit scoring.

  • Approve or deny loan requests based on their credibility and anticipated profits and losses.

  • Determine and calculate interest rates.

  • Client loan parameters negotiation

  • Audit reimbursements

  • Maintain loan application records.

  • Maintain contact with clients to oversee debt settlements and loan renewals.

  • Ensure that all lending procedures comply with applicable rules.

  • Create, evaluate, and revise our company’s credit policies.

Requirements and Skills

  • Proven experience as a Credit Manager, Credit Analyst, or comparable position.

  • Practical knowledge of accounting software

  • Solid knowledge of lending practices

  • Possessing strong analytical skills and the ability to create and manipulate financial spreadsheets (e.g., in Excel), the candidate has exceptional analytical aptitude.

  • Negotiation expertise Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Banking, or a relevant field

Salary Range

The average monthly salary for Credit Manager jobs in Malaysia ranges from RM 8,150 to RM 10,650.
