We are seeking a veterinarian to diagnose and cure our clients’ animals. Our animal hospital specializes in canines, cats, and occasionally other species.

What does a Veterinarian do?

As a veterinarian, you perform surgeries on injured animals, address wounds, spay and neuter animals, and prescribe medication. We would like to meet you if you enjoy being around animals and are dedicated to providing them with the finest care possible.

Ultimately, you’ll serve as the primary point of contact for pet owners, whether to address illnesses and injuries or to provide guidance on animal nutrition and general care.

Responsibilities

  • Examine animals and determine their health.

  • Identifying diseases and recommending the best treatment

  • Treat injured animal lesions.

  • Perform dental, eye, and orthopedic surgical procedures.

  • Vaccinate animals for disease prevention

  • Neuter and spay cats and dogs as required

  • Prescribe pharmaceuticals

  • Advise pet owners on proper nutrition, preventative care, and general care.

  • Perform occasional home visits in case of an emergency.

  • Update customer records

Requirements and Skills

  • Experience as a Veterinarian, Veterinary Technician, or Veterinary Assistant is necessary.

  • Experience performing numerous types of animal surgeries, vaccinations, and health exams

  • Familiarity with medical equipment (such as X-ray devices) and anesthesia techniques.

  • Problem-solving expertise

  • Ability to explain medical terms and conditions in simple terms

  • Availability to work weekend or evening schedules in the event of an emergency

  • A patient disposition and affection for animals

  • Degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)

Salary Range

The average monthly salary for Veterinarian jobs in Malaysia ranges from RM 4,000 to RM 4,800.
